Food Packaging Design for Harmoni Restaurant
Harmoni is an Indonesian restaurant that specializes in serving traditional Indonesian breakfast dishes as their specialties. Their motto is to provide the best service for their customers, and their motivation is to ensure everyone starts their day happy and satisfied.
This packaging renewal project is actually a campaign for #SahabatKreatifHarmoni, where I, as the first creative designer, have designed three packaging designs. The goal of this campaign is to inspire people, especially the younger generations, to create artwork, share it, and transform it into something useful.
There was 3 packaging outcomes that I created (from left to right): Hot Cup, Rice Meal Paperpack, Clear Cold Drinks Cup
Hot Cup
The design highlights the Wedang Uwuh Illustration, an Indonesian traditional hot beverage that gives warmth and a pleasant after-feel to those who drink it. The text and typography in this design help people imagine how Wedang Uwuh can bring them so much goodness when they drink it.
The background also features the Harmoni Restaurant logo in the form of a pattern.
Another word meaning:
"Minum yang anget-anget": Drink warm beverage
"Perut nyaman di pagi hari": Having good gut feelings in the morning
"Banyak Khasiatnya": Has many nutrients
"Wedang Uwuh": Indonesian traditional hot beverage that contains many spices that are good for health
"Semua Hal Baik Dimulai Dengan Sarapan yang Baik": Every good things starts with a good breakfast
"Piye Enak Toh?!" means "How is it? It's good, right?!" This text serves as an approving question to someone because the person asking is strongly confident that their opinion is right. In this packaging design, the context revolves around Indonesian traditional breakfast meals. So, "Piye Enak Toh?!" is questioning the taste of the food, which is supposed to be delicious. The food illustrations include Nasi Liwet, Nasi Ayam Kremes, Pisang Goreng, and Bala-bala.

Cold Drinks Cup
The highlight of this design is another Indonesian cold beverage called 'Es Dawet.' The design features a Javanese man illustration carrying a selling cart for Dawet on top of his head. Typically, men carry the cart on their shoulders, but in this context, there's a hyperbole to express the 'strong after feel right after drinking Es Dawet. The text and illustration were created to entice people to try Es Dawet so that they can experience its "strong" refreshment aftereffect.

"Minum Dawet Biar Strong": Drink Dawet so that you can feel strong (fresh)
"Manis Legit Seger Tenan (Javanese language): Sweet, legit, really refresh!
"100% khas Klaten" (Klaten: City in Central Java): 100% Klaten specialities
